Technology has developed phenomenally over the last few years and all the tools you need to build and market your website are available online. Although it's easy to get going yourself, workIT online offers a range of courses that can make it easier for you.

The courses will bring you up to speed with what is happening on the Internet; what Web 2.0 is and how it can benefit you; as well as enable you to build, optimize and market your website yourself. There are even Open House days where you can come and work in my office with me on hand to assist when you need it.

A 1 day Hands-On programme that will equip you with the skills and confidence to deal with your day-to-day technological encounters.

The course covers basic computer and software requirements, Internet access evaluation (3G, ADSL etc.); the status quo of the Internet and where it’s taking us; an introduction to Web 2.0 and Social Networking; effective eCitizenship (how to use the Internet - security, shopping, forms, personal information, surfing skills) How Search Engines work, how to find what you’re ACTUALLY looking for; eMail management; what to download and how; and other useful, practical info.

Build It! (R4000)

A 2 day Hands On programme that will equip you with the skills and confidence to build your own website using online Content Management Systems.

The course covers usability, search engine visibility, and aesthetic design; planning the architecture and layout of your website; creating a template for your website, writing copy and manipulating images; and pulling it all together into a fully functional, professional website. BOOK NOW.

Work It! (R2000)

A 1 day Hands-On programme designed to equip you with the tools, skills and confidence to get your website really working for you.

The course covers search engine optimization; understanding Web 2.0 and using Social Media to market your website; eMarketing; webPR; online reputation management; link building tactics and how to anaylse and measure results. It's no use having a website if it's not working for you! BOOK NOW.

Socialise! (R800)

A ½ day Hands-On programme designed to provide you with the knowledge, skills and confidence to use Social Networking and Web 2.0 applications to communicate effectively and to make the WWW an asset to your life in the 21st Century.

The course covers which tools to use to navigate the WWW effectively and how to use them; what Web 2.0 is, the applications that are available and how to use them; how to use social networking to make your life easier (and enjoyable!) as well as how to practice good eCitizenship. BOOK NOW
